Maita's yoga journey began in 2010 when she went to her first yoga class to ease an anxious mind and it was love at first breath. There is nothing she loves more than having an "aha!" moment during practice and have the joy of that discovery translate through breath and movement. With the desire to deepen her knowledge of yoga and inspired to share the many benefits of yoga, Maita completed the 200 hr Joy and Service Teacher Training program at Prana Yoga and Dance. Her classes are very much influenced by her own practice, moving from one pose to another with mindfulness and compassion.
Maita believes that yoga is a celebration of life. Every time we step on our mat, no matter what else is going on in our lives, the time spent on our mat serves as a reset button. Each movement, each breath we take brings us to a place where we can feel gratitude and celebrate.
