Yoga Teacher Training Certified through Yoga Alliance

for teacher trainees and students wishing to deepen
their practice and understanding of yoga
Instructors Kathleen Kossman, Holly Clemens and Deb Kistner will come together to teach students and trainees how to find unity in yourself and your community.
This 9-month, 200hr, Yoga Alliance Certification will provide you with a well-rounded and in-depth study to gain the knowledge and skills to become a yoga teacher. This program is designed not only to give you a wide variety of topics, class settings, and experiences, but also to provide you with the tools necessary to deepen your practice by taking it out into your community.
Yoga teaches us that all things are interconnected. We all know that finding balance in our lives can be a struggle. This training was created to support people in pursuing their passion of living their yoga through the following themes:

The history of yoga. Yoga today. Different styles of yoga. What is Vinyasa Yoga.
Surya Namaskar A, B and Classical.
Breakdown of Standing Postures
Applying anatomy to each of these postures. Benefits to each of these postures and the contraindications. Modifications. How to use props.
Building a strong foundation. Bandhas . How to link postures to create a class. Creating a 15, 30, 45 and 60 minute class. Hands on assists to each of these groups of postures. Language, queing, visualization while instructing a class. Learn how to assess your students and their needs. Create a Beginners, All Levels and Intermediate Class. Learn to create Specialty classes: Chair Yoga, Yoga for Athletes, Kids Yoga, Prenatal and Partner more.
Techniques of Meditation
Becoming a yoga instructor. Ethics of being a yoga instructor. Creating a yoga business. Creating a home practice. How to keep your personal practice going. Taking your yoga off the mat How to live your yoga.

Kathleen Kossman E-RYT
Kathleen has been teaching yoga for 20 years.
As co-owner of Prana Yoga and Dance Studio since May of 2004,
she feels blessed and honored to be doing what she loves!
She has and continues to study with many nationally known teachers.
She recently returned from a week long Teacher Training with Bryan Kest.
She is proud to have Rowan, Deb and Holly as part of Prana Yoga Teacher Training.

Holly Clemens, Ph.D., RYT
Holly is an Associate professor of Sport and Exercise Studies at Cuyahoga Community
College where she teaches not only yoga,
but a variety of courses including exercise physiology, kinesiology, and sport injury care.
Holly completed her 500-RYT through OM yoga’s advanced teacher training program.
She has been truly blessed to have studied under so many wonderful teachers such as
Seanne Corn, John Friend,
Doug Keller, Judith Hanson Lasater, Tias Little, Todd Norian, and Simon Park.
Holly’s yoga studies embrace the anatomy and workings of the human body in relation to
yoga and how yoga opens awakening to the self and the connection to the greater good.
Deb Kistner, E-RYT
Deb has been teaching yoga since receiving her 200 hour Yoga Alliance Certification in
October 2008 from Namaste’ Yoga Studio. She also works part-time as Financial Manager
for a small web design and development firm. Deb worked over 15 years in the corporate
world as the firm administrator of a law firm as well as a corporate accountant. Finding a
regular yoga practice grounded and energized her life and she became a teacher to help
others find the same. Plan to experience a well-rounded flow with great music and some
nice alignment cues as well as meditation and breath work to make practice complete. Deb
joined the Prana YTT in 2016.
